Si botak sedang berusaha untuk membilang kurnia. Dalam keadaan yang sedang diuji sebegini, hanya dengan membilang maka diharapkan agar kurang keluh kesah. Si botak juga mahu berterima kasih atas ingatan seorang sahabat yang bersusah payah mengirimkan sehelai baju buat si botak. Ingatan beliau telah menceriakan hati si botak. Ini juga satu kurnia Ilahi. Alhamdulillah.
Dalam kelelahan, si botak gagahkan juga menghitung. Si botak juga memutuskan untuk menghitung sambil berkongsi di laman ini. Si botak rasa terhibur bila dapat kita sama sama bertukar idea. Banyak yang si botak belajar di sini. Malah, sebenarnya laman ini merupakan pintu baru menggantikan dunia sosial si botak yang makin mengecil isipadunya. Kak Maiyah mungkin mengerti apa maksud si botak ini. :)
Si botak teringat sesuatu pula. "Kenapa nak fikir jauh jauh? Kalau nak kira kurniaan Tuhan, pada badan kita ni pun dah tak terhitung banyaknya. Rambut dan kuku akan tumbuh tiap kali dipotong, lidah boleh rasa macam macam, mata boleh nampak segala, telinga boleh tangkap apa jua bunyi. Jadi, kenapa susah susah nak fikir sampai pening?" Tiba tiba suara Almarhumah Moyang terngiang ngiang. Bak lirik lagu juara AF7, 'masih jelas...'
Si botak tersenyum kini. Almarhumah Moyang banyak ilmunya. Almarhumah juga adalah kurnia buat si botak. Si botak harus bersyukur atas semua ini. Si botak teringat lagi satu perkara. Dalam membicarakan soal tak perlu fikir jauh jauh ni, teringat si botak akan satu bait lagu yang mungkin ada yang pernah tahu akan kewujudannya. Lihat betapa besar kurniaNya melalui laman ini, makin banyak perkara yang si botak hampir lupa, akhirnya datang kembali.
'Lagu lagu Kabir'. Kabir atau juga dikenali sebagai Kabirdas adalah seorang yang agak berbeza. Beliau lahir dan membesar di Banares, India, tanah suci penganut Hindu. Kabir lahir di dalam keluarga Islam tetapi membesar dengan pengaruh Sri Ramananda, seorang yang dianggap suci oleh masyarakat Hindu pada masa itu. Akhirnya Kabirdas mempunyai pendirian untuk mengambil iktibar serta tauladan daripada kedua dua agama iaitu; Islam dan Hindu.
Seperti biasa, si botak malas nak komen panjang panjang akan betul atau salah tindakan seseorang itu. Si botak bukan nak ikut apa apa cara atau ajaran dengan melulu. Si botak cuma nak kongsi apa saja ilmu yang mungkin bermanfaat pada kita semua.
Tak usahlah ke taman bunga!
Wahai teman! Tak usah ke sana;
Tubuhmu adalah taman yang penuh bunga.
Ambil tempatmu di atas ribuan kelopak teratai (mungkin maknanya ialah tikar sembahyang), dan di sana hayatilah Keindahan Agung.
Terlalu indah bait bait ini. Kita harus berterima kasih kepada Rabindranath Tagore, yang mengalihbahasakan puisi ini pada tahun 1915. Dek kerana usaha murni beliau dapat kita sama sama belajar.
Si botak rasa makin perlahan ketukan ini. Si botak nak terus cuba menghitung sampai terlena. Si botak cuma harap, kita bersama akan dapat pelajari sesuatu setiap hari.

Si botak is trying to count blessings. In this very state of trial and turbulences, it is hoped only through counting the sighing could be prevented. Si botak would love to take this opportunity to express gratitude to a friend who went through all troubles by sending a shirt to si botak. This person's thought had made si botak's day. This is also a blessing. Alhamdulillah (Praise be for Allah).
In short of breath, si botak is trying to count. Si botak has also decided to count while sharing in this very chamber. Si botak is delighted when we could together sharing ideas. Si botak has learned a lot here. In fact, this is where a new door had been opened in exchange of si botak's shrinking little social life. Kak Maiyah would probably understand what si botak means. :)
Si botak came across something. "Why think off something faraway? If wish to count the Lord's blessings, on our own body there are countless blessings indeed. Hair and nails grow each time cut, the tongue allows us tasting various tastes, the eyes could see all, the ears could capture all sorts of sounds. So, why bother to think for too much of other things?" All of the sudden, Almarhumah Moyang (the late great grandma)'s voice becomes vivid. As sang by the AF7 winner, 'masih jelas (still clear)...'
Si botak is smiling. Almarhumah Moyang had a fair share of knowledges. Almarhumah was indeed a blessing to si botak. Si botak must be grateful. Si botak remembers another thing. In talking about there is no need to wander away as to count blessings, si botak couldn't help it but to remember a stanza of songs that maybe someone might have heard of before. Look how big the blessing through this blogging, things that started to fade away came back to si botak's lap.
'Songs of Kabir'. Kabir or better known as Kabirdas was a very different man. He was born and grew up in Banares, India, the holy pilgrim land for the Hindus. Kabir was born to a Moslems family yet grew up under the influence of Sri Ramananda, a saint for the Hindus by then. Finally Kabirdas developed a principle of taking whatever the goods of both Islam dan Hindu, and combined it together.
As usual, si botak really doesn't have the heart to comment on the right or wrong of a person. Si botak is not going to follow blindly over a teaching or that person's way of life. Si botak is merely trying to share whatever knowledge that might be beneficial for all of us.

O Friend! go not there;

Take your seat on the thousand petals of the lotus (this could mean the praying mat), and there gaze on the Infinite Beauty.
The stanza is so wonderful. We owe it to Rabindranath Tagore, whom translated this poems to English in 1915. This very act of him, enable us to learn it today.
Si botak could notice the typing is getting slow. Si botak is going to continue counting and hopefully shall go to the dreamland by doing so. Si botak just hope that we would all learn something, together, day by day.
Si botak agak terkilan. Dek kerana terlalu mudah menuturkan apa yang terbuku di hati, si botak dah pun menyebabkan seorang rakan di alam maya menjadi serba salah. Maaf. Itu sahaja yang si botak dapat katakan. Si botak memang menyesal. Si botak harap si dia, yang tahu siapa dirinya, yang sanggup hapuskan sesuatu demi si botak, akan mengerti bukan itu niat serta kehendak si botak.
Si botak dalam menilai kelemahan diri ini, teringat akan pesan Almarhumah Moyang, akan pepatah hikmah Saidina Ali r.a. Ingatan ini telah membawa si botak menyelongkar fail fail lama yang ada terkandung beberapa buku elektronik yang si botak beli tak lama dulu.
Maka si botak buat keputusan nak kongsi kandungan daripada buku '2500 Adages of Imam Ali' ataupun makna dalam Bahasa Melayunya, '2500 Pepatah Imam Ali'. Buku ini tidak dipasarkan di Malaysia kerana dianggap sebagai hasil karya pengikut aliran Syi'ah.
Si botak tak nak komen apa apa, macam biasalah. Namun si botak cuma tak nak menentukan betul atau salah akan sesesuatu mazhab dengan melulu. Ini adalah kerana si botak cuba berpegang kepada prinsip kedua di antara sepuluh prinsip yang dicadangkan oleh Imam Hassan al Banna iaitu; kita hendaklah mula menganggap setiap insan yang mengucapkan syahadah sebagai teman dan juga sebahagian daripada perkumpulan Muslim.
Perbezaan mazhab atau aliran tak perlulah terlalu dijadikan penghalang bagi kita untuk bersatu. Kita semua naik saksi bahawa Allah itu Esa dan Muhammad itu PesuruhNya. Jadi, kenapa nak terlalu jumud di dalam semua hal. Perbezaan itu indah. Bayangkan jika hanya terdapat satu nota muzik sahaja dalam dunia ni. Alangkah bosannya hidup tanpa alunan muzik. Jangan terlalu takut dengan perbezaan sehingga membutakan segala deria.
Berikut hanya sepuluh daripada 103 pepatah Saidina Ali Karamullahu Wajhah berkenaan perihal diam dan menjaga percakapan;
Percakapan yang paling teruk ialah memecah rahsia
Berjaga jagalah akan perbuatan memecah rahsia, bagi yang bercakap banyak, dosanya juga akan banyak
Jagalah lidah, ianya adalah anak panah yang mungkin akan tersasar
Berpautlah pada sifat diam, kerana paling kurang pun ia akan menjadikan kita selamat
Dengarlah dan akan kamu belajar, diamlah dan kamu akan selamat
Hargai dan jagalah lidahmu, sebagai kamu menjaga emas dan wangmu
Kurangkan bercakap dan kamu akan selamat dari dipersalah
Barang siapa manis lidahnya akan ramailah saudaranya
Elakkan berkata apa yang kamu tak tahu, tetapi elakkan juga berkata segala yang kamu tahu
Orang yang bijaksana ialah orang yang mengunci lidahnya kecuali ketika menyebut perihal Allah
Indah bukan? Pepatah pepatah ini dah makin pudar dari kotak ingatan si botak. Inilah hikmah yang si botak mesti cari tiap kali berlaku perkara yang tidak diingini. Tiap yang berlaku pasti punya hikmahnya, kan? Si botak sangat bersyukur. Kita dapat terus belajar walau dalam apa jua keadaan. Alhamdulillah. Besar sungguh kurniaanNya kan?

Si botak is rather sad. For being too blunt in expressing thoughts, si botak end up putting a cyber friend in a very difficult situation. Sorry. That is all what si botak could ever say. Si botak truly regrets it. Si botak hopes that particular someone, who knows who he/she is, whom willingly get rid of something in si botak's sake, shall realise it wasn't what si botak wanted as well as intended to do.
Si botak while in self evaluating process, remembered Almarhumah (the late) Moyang (great grandma)'s advice, on the adages of Saidina Ali r.a. This very thought had brought si botak to dig up old folders that concist of a few e-books that had been bought years ago.
Thus si botak decided to share some of the contents in the '2500 Adages of Imam Ali' book. This book had not been published in Malaysia for being regarded as the work of the Shi'ite.
As usual, si botak refuses to comment. Si botak just tries not to decide whether any sect to be right or wrong. It is because si botak tries to follow the second principals of Imam Hassan al Banna's ten principles which is; we start by considering everyone who declares shahadah as our companion and part of the Muslim group.
A sect differences should not be taken too seriously until it becomes a wall preventing us to be united. We are all have pledged that Allah is the only One and Muhammad is His messenger. So, why do we have to be too rigid in everything. Differences are beautiful. Imagine if there was only one note in this world. How boring life would be without music. Don't be too afraid of differences until it blinded every senses.

The worst of sayings is blabbering.
Be aware of blabbering, for whose talk is abundant, his sins are abundant as well.
Be aware of the tongue, for it is an arrow that might astray.
Hold on the silence, for the least good thing it can do is give safety.
Hear and you will learn, and be silent and you will be safe.
Treasure your tongue, like you do with your gold and papers.
Lessen the talk and you are safe from the blame.
The wise man is he who tied his tongue except for the mention of Allah.

Magnificent isn't it? This very adages seemed to be faded away from si botak's memory. This is the very silvery lining that si botak must seek each time bad incidents occur. Indeed there is a silvery lining in a cloud, isn't it? Si botak is grateful. We will continue learning in any situations. Alhamdulillah (Praise be for Allah). The Lord's gift is so great, right?
Si botak tak dapat tidur. Keresahan dalam menerima ujian kali ini. Namun bukan itu yang si botak nak kongsikan. Dalam gelisah, tiba - tiba Anak Pakcik Budin, terjaga dan memilih untuk membacakan si botak sesuatu. Terima kasih Anak Pakcik Budin kerana berusaha nak bantu si botak di saat yang mencabar ini.
Beliau memilih untuk bacakan Sulalatus Salatin atau juga dikenali sebagai Sejarah Melayu. Ini kerana beliau tahu bahawa si botak suka kitab berkenaan. Pilih punya pilih, beliau bacakan kisah yang sangat penting iaitu cara Sultan Muzaffar Syah mendamaikan dua pihak yang bertelagah.
Pabila Paduka Raja Tun Perak dilantik menjadi Orang Besar selepas berjaya mematahkan serangan Siam, rakyat Melaka mula berpecah. Satu golongan menyokong Paduka Raja Tun Perak dan satu golongan lagi menyokong Seri Nara Diraja Tun Ali.
Sultan mula runsing. Seri Nara Diraja adalah pembesar veteran yang bertanggungjawab menabalkan baginda menjadi Sultan Melaka. Paduka Raja pula adalah pembesar muda yang sangat berkebolehan. Apa yang baginda buat? Baginda ceraikan isteri baginda, Tun Kudu, dan nikahkan kepada Seri Nara Diraja. Tun Kudu pula merupakan kakak kepada Paduka Raja. Ini menjadikan Paduka Raja dan Seri Nara Diraja menjadi saudara ipar. Maka akhirnya Seri Nara Diraja dan Paduka Raja berdamai, Melaka tak lagi terbelah belah. Bijak bukan?
Setiap hasil penulisan ada ilmu serta mesej yang berguna di dalamnya. Kenapa kita nak bertekak tentang sahih atau tidak? Sedangkan catatan China yang dianggap lengkap pun pasti ada silap di sana sini. Ini adalah kerana jika ada putera atau puteri mahupun gundik yang melakukan kesalahan dan dihukum, mereka akan dicatat sebagai meninggal dunia. Hal yang sebenar tak mungkin akan direkodkan. Jadi mengapa kita nak membazir masa, tenaga dan wang hanya semata - mata nak berdiskusi tentang kesahihan kisah yang ditulis beratus tahun lalu? Mengapa tidak kita cuba mengkaji falsafah serta corak pemikiran nenek moyang, dan menimba seberapa banyak teladan serta panduan darinya?
Si botak tersenyum. Anak Pakcik Budin dah sambung tidur. Namun, kisah yang dibacakan masih terkesan di sanubari si botak. Si botak tak nak komen fasal kesahihan fakta sejarah. Si botak lagi malas nak bertekak mengenai sesetengah pendapat yang menganggap Sulalatus Salatin hanya nak angkat kisah Raja. Si botak cuma berminat nak belajar akan cara serta kaedah datuk nenek kita selesaikan masalah. Itu yang lagi utama. Apa pula kata kalian?

Si botak couldn't sleep. Restless in facing the latest trial. Yet, it is not what si botak is about to share. In fidgety, suddenly Anak Pakcik Budin, woke up and chose to read something for si botak. Thank you dear Anak Pakcik Budin for trying to assist si botak in this challenging moment.
He chose to read from Sulalatus Salatin or better known as the Malay Annals. It was because he is well aware of si botak's fondness over that book. Finally, he read one of the very important stories which was the story of how Sultan Muzaffar Syah put two oppossing parties at peace.
When Paduka Raja Tun Perak appointed to be officer after succesfully driven the Siamese troops, there were two groups in Malacca. One in favour of Paduka Raja Tun Perak and the other supported Seri Nara Diraja Tun Ali.
The Sultan started to worry. Seri Nara Diraja was a veteran officer whom responsibled in making him the Sultan of Malacca. Where by Paduka Raja was a young and promising officer. What did His Majesty do? He divorced his wife, Tun Kudu, and married her off to Seri Nara Diraja. Tun Kudu happened to be Paduka Raja's sister. This caused both Paduka Raja and Seri Nara Diraja became in laws. Thus finally, Seri Nara Diraja and Paduka Raja were united, Malacca was no longer divided. Brilliant, isn't it?
Each writings has its own knowledge as well as useful message inside. Why do we have to argue on the authenticity of the historical facts? Even the Chinese records which considered one of the most detailed accounts were proven to be at fault here and there. It is due to its very nature of concealing the misdeeds of a prince or princess or even a concubine by simply reporting them as dead. The truth shall never be recorded. Then, why should we waste our time, energy and money in discussion on the genuineness of a story written hundred of years ago? Why don't we try to understand and study the philosophy as well as the way our forefathers think, and learn from it?
Si botak smiles. Anak Pakcik Budin went back to sleep. Yet, the story read still lingers in si botak's mind. Si botak refuse to comment on the authenticity of the story. Si botak is even more not interested in arguing in some theories that Sulalatus Salatin is simply a book written as to glorify the king. Si botak is merely interested in learning the methods used by our forefathers in solving problems. It is what count most. What say you?
